I think the ebike issue is overblown, the biggest issue comes with ebikes too powerful for legal street use anyway. And I doubt regulation is going to change that, emoto riders are already breaking the law, further regulating the people already following the laws isn't going to change anything. IMO, under 20mph should = unregulated bicycle, over 20mph should = moped.

Or, well, if I were a king for a day I'd probably just see small two wheeled vehicles completely de-regulated. But the bicycle/moped distinction seems like the most logical distinction based on our current laws.

@nate Yep, I'm good with all that. I think the biggest ting in my mind is lumping all ebikes together. The emotor cycle style ebikes that can go really fast is not the same as a class 1 ebike that will not go above 20 unassisted.
