Self-hosting isn't always the answer—why Home Assistant is no longer powering my home

I think this is a fair assessment of Home Assistant. Home Assistant is harder from a technical perspective but that also gives us more flexibility and powerful IMO.

I think this is a great example of where an AI agent could have helped Bertel setup and configure things in such a way that's easy for the other people in their house.
