Please meet our cat Linus
2 min read
Hi hello. Happy #Caturday! I would like to introduce you to our sweet boy, Linus.
We brought Linus home from the local Richmond SPCA at the end of November, 2024. At the SPCA, he had a lot of personality and was reaching through the cage, trying to play, and that drew my attention immediately, which sealed his fate. ;)
Linus' origin story was told in the form of a letter, penned by the people who found him. I can't put my hands on the letter at the time of this writing but I recall that he was found under a dumpster at a gas station and brought to the SPCA. They were calling him Padawan but he seemed more like a Linus to us.
Linus is a very sweet, snuggly boy. He lets Rachelle handle him however she likes and he's pretty docile about it. She holds him on his back and rubs his chest, and he doesn't seem to mind a bit. He's best buds with Lennie, our newest addition. They play and snuggle all the time and they are partners in crime.
He's food motivated in a way that the others are not. Not that everyone doesn't love a little snacky snack, but Linus is the one going around cleaning all the other bowls and he's our chonkiest boy by a fair margin.
Linus loves to be involved in all the activities that are happening, especially if no cat input is required. When I'm doing my aquarium maintenance, he's right there, observing. When I'm doing dishes, he likes to jump up on the counter (yes, we're those people!) and observe as I fill the dishwasher. I think he likes to see the water running. He's never met a box or a bag that didn't need his close personal inspection.
Linus is probably the least adventurous of The Goblins. He likes to stay inside and when he does venture out, he rarely goes off the porch. Any loud activity or disturbance and he's booking it straight inside.
Please enjoy these photos of Linus.
