As an American, I'm not even mad about this. It's a smart move. Nations should not be too reliant on any single nation because as the US has just demonstrated, an ally can turn into a nation who uses the reliance as leverage. That's not good.

If there was an alternative to Android or iOS, I would 100% use it. I'd love a Linux phone but I don't think there are any available that could actually be used as a daily drive. What is the most mature Linux phone?

I think this is a fair assessment of Home Assistant. Home Assistant is harder from a technical perspective but that also gives us more flexibility and powerful IMO. I think this is a great example of where an AI agent could have helped Bertel setup and configure things in such a way that's easy for the other people in their house.

Oh this makes me so happy. I love my ebike and can understand why it would be more impactful than electric cars. It's irritating that I see cities and communities starting to ban and push back on ebikes. People are the worst.
