        &lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;As an American, I&amp;#39;m not even mad about this. It&amp;#39;s a smart move. Nations should not be too reliant on any single nation because as the US has just demonstrated, an ally can turn into a nation who uses the reliance as leverage. That&amp;#39;s not good.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

        &lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;If there was an alternative to Android or iOS, I would 100% use it. I&amp;#39;d love a Linux phone but I don&amp;#39;t think there are any available that could actually be used as a daily drive.

        &lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;I think this is a fair assessment of Home Assistant. Home Assistant is harder from a technical perspective but that also gives us more flexibility and powerful IMO.

I think this is a great example of where an AI agent could have helped Bertel setup and configure things in such a way that&amp;#39;s easy for the other people in their house.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
