I bet many are happy that they're not getting this new 'feature'.

There’s a lot that doesn’t add up in a security advisory password manager Dashlane published Monday, warning that attackers managed to obtain 20 encrypted user vaults.

“Starting on Sunday, May 31, 2026, an external party launched a brute force attack against certain Dashlane user accounts,” the company said. “The goal of the attack was to brute-force two-factor authentication (2FA) protections to allow the attacker to register new devices on existing user accounts.”

People are multifaceted and can hold opposing views. Yet, instead of discussing these contradictions openly from a place of mutual respect, we often make assumptions: this person is not like me and is therefore on the wrong side of the argument.

Yes, I know AI was trained on stolen data — including my writing — and I've been dealing with that tension for years. At one point, I tried to block AI bots from the site and added a login requirement. But that action went against one of my guiding principles about the internet: information should be free and accessible to all.

U.S. forces deployed to war zones have been targeted using commercially available location data, according to reports fielded by military officials, an illustration of how the global surveillance economy is shaping the battlefield.

In a letter shared with Reuters by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat, U.S. Central Command said it had “received multiple threat reports concerning adversary exploitation of commercial location data to target or surveil U.S. personnel in theater.”

Man this is wild! I've seen reports where people are tracking their runs with Strava while deployed on aircraft carriers and it effectively gives away the ship location which should be pretty sensitive information
