Please meet our cat Lily
Lily is the matriarch of our cat family, and she knows she rules the roost.

She was born on April 21, 2019 and came home on June 8, 2019. She's also the most stereotypical cat in the house. She's smart, sassy, judgey, aloof, and very cool. She doesn't seem to get too excited about anything, and she's NEVER in a hurry--as we stand holding the door open for her in freezing temperatures, she just saunters around the room the LONG WAY to finally get to the door to go out. Lily has a firm hand, er, paw; she dishes out a fair number of bops to the kittens when they get too rowdy or stay in her space for too long. We know she loves us, but she prefers to love from a distance and is selective with her affection.
Lily is my little shadow though; she follows me around the house and usually wants to be in the same room as me. While I'm working, she snoozes all day on the closed laptop, which I presume acts as a bit of a heating pad for her. In the evenings, she camps out on the back of the sofa between me and Rachelle. She's not a snuggle‑bug like some of our other cats, but she comes around a couple of times a day for some rubs and chin scritches.
She uses the cat door to go out when she has to (when we're not around to open it for her), but it's rare for her to stay out for an extended period unless she's just sleeping on the deck in one of the deck chairs. She's not overly food‑motivated like some of the other goblins, but she's nearly always present at dinnertime. And, as queens usually are, she is very picky about what she eats and how much she eats.
Please enjoy these photos of Lily. It's harder to get good photos of a black cat but these are good ones.
