People #

  • Brain Baking — Wouter is a great blogger and I enjoy his content, even if I'm not necessarily into the things he's blogging about. It's nice to see other people's passions presented in a thoughtful manner.
  • Chris Coyier — I know about Chris because he used to run CSS-Tricks. He often writes about topics I'm interested in and I enjoy his takes.
  • Brennan Day — I discovered Brennan because I follow the #IndieWeb hashtag on Mastodon. Specifically, his post Apathetic, Intentionally is very well written and aligns with my own take on trying to think about and deal with AI.
  • Drew DeVault — Drew is often posting about his development work but is also posting commentary about topics I'm interested in. Plus, his minimalist site design heavily inspired my own!

Tech #

  • Ars Technica — If I could follow only one site on the internet, I think it would be this one. I've been a user since May of 1999. This site was so instrumental in my growth as a geek. I remember using a guide from Ars to overlock my Intel Celeron 300 mhz to 450 mhz and I just though I was hacking the world.
  • Email is good. — I think email gets a lot undeserved hate. Plus, Chris writes interesting pieces that I quite enjoy reading.
  • Uses This — I've enjoyed reading this site for a long time and I really enjoy reading about how other people compute.
